Program Spotlight - Tourism Management Diploma
Gain the real-world knowledge, skills and opportunities to advance your career in the tourism sector at a world-class destination. Awards are available to students.
Programs and courses
Complete the first two years of business studies and earn a diploma – or continue your studies to attain a Bachelor of Business Administration.
This certificate prepares students to be work as part of an educational team in the classroom to help children reach educational goals and encourage development. Intakes in Revelstoke begin in January.
Improve your career opportunities by completing pre-requisites for College programs, finish high school graduation requirements or improve your high school marks.
English as a Second Language
Students can improve their English language skills for discussion and academic purposes. Intakes are ongoing, and domestic students are eligible for funding.
First Aid and Safety
Okanagan College is an approved Canadian Red Cross and WorkSafeBC Training Centre. Note: course options may differ according to location.
Gain a foundational introduction to accounting for entry-level accounting employment or accounting for your own business. These courses also set you up for future computer-based accounting classes.
The Volunteer Adult Literacy Tutoring program is free for adults in the community. You do not have to be an Okanagan College student to sign up. Students can start at any time. Contact the centre at 250-837-4235 to start.
Computer Skills in a Day
Continuing Studies offers a range of courses that allow you to update computer skills, learning software programs like Excel and Word, at various levels in one day.
Certain programs come to Revelstoke Centre on a rotational basis. Here are the ones to watch:

- Trades foundations and apprenticeships

Services for Students
Revelstoke Settlement Services
Revelstoke Settlement Services helps people integrate into Canada and access services and training. Funding is provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and the Government of British Columbia.
A range of services and information is available for program participants:
- Weekly English practice groups (childminding available)
- English tutoring from September to May
- Orientation sessions and workshops
- Information for you and your family about education, housing, employment and services available from municipal and federal governments
- Social activities
Permanent residents, individuals selected to become permanent residents, live-in caregivers, refugees and those on temporary work permits.
