International students: Be sure to visit this page for the International orientation if you haven’t already completed it and then come back to complete the virtual OC Student Orientation 2020.


Winter 2021 dates

Dec. 15 : Fees due for Winter 2021
Dec. 16 - 18: International Winter orientation

Jan. 4 - 8: Winter welcome week
Jan. 4: Classes begin
January 15: Last day to register for a course

Login to your myOkanagan account

Login to your myOkanagan account if you haven’t done so already. This is also where you can login to your Moodle account to find your course work.

We strongly recommend forwarding your myOkanagan email to your most commonly used email account. Follow along with this video to learn how to do that. And don’t forget to add chooseoc@okanagancollege.ca as a safe sender so you’re receiving everything we send to you!

Meet with an Education Advisor

Meet with an Education Advisor who can help you plan your studies to make sure you are taking the right courses to meet your goals or transfer to another institution.

Register for your courses

If you’re not in a program that is block registered (we register you into classes), you will need to register. Find helpful information and links about building your schedule, registering for courses, and how to find your registration time at this link

Finance your education

Finance your education by checking in with Financial Aid and Awards. There are thousands of dollars available to eligible students. And don’t forget, it’s not too late to apply for fall loans. Visit StudentAidBC for further information.

Find accommodations

Still searching for accommodations while you’re a student? There are plenty of housing options available to OC students.

Get your photo ID

Submit your photo online to receive a student ID card.

ID Cards can be used for Official Okanagan College Identification, Library Privileges, Access to Gym Pass, Entrance to Exams, Entrance to College Events, To Receive Computer Support, Discount for City Buses, Discounts from Community Businesses and Access to College Residence (Kelowna only).

Student Rights and Responsibilities

Be sure to review the student handbook where you will find important policies such as the Student Code of Conduct. Whether you are studying in person, online, or by distance education, all of the policies relating to student conduct still apply.

Complete the online Moodle course

Visit your Moodle account to find the OC Student Orientation. Complete the general section first to unlock your program-specific session. You will be registered into the course which must be completed before you begin your classes. This course will be available mid-December.

Connect with your campus for details about winter events happening in January.

Student health and wellness resources

Find out about student health and wellness resources available to you while you are a student at OC. 

As an OC student you will be automatically registered for health benefits through your students’ union. If you have coverage elsewhere you can opt out. Find out more about health benefits and the Okanagan College Students Union and the Vernon Students’ Association by taking the virtual orientation referred to above.
