Who we are
Okanagan College encourages students to get involved in recreational activities both on and off campus. Okanagan College emphasizes sport and fitness activities as a vital component of a successful, rewarding and enjoyable college experience. We invite students to participate, meet people, have fun, play and be active!
Campus Recreation enhances the quality of student life by offering a wide variety of recreational activities, programs and events. These activities, programs and events are provided free or at a nominal charge to Okanagan College students.

Urban Rec League Co-Ed Indoor Soccer
Tuesdays 8-10 p.m. at Valley First Soccer Dome with a cost of $50.00 per person.

Fitness Facility
The Fitness Facility offers a bright atmosphere and an excellent assortment of cardio and resistance training equipment. Cardio users will enjoy the opportunity to look outside while they work out. Beginners to intermediate weight room users will find that the fitness facility will more than adequately fulfill their exercise needs.
Current Okanagan College students can purchase a pass online or from the Registrar's Office in the Student Services Building. It is a one-time $10 fee for a card and automatically renews each semester you are registered in classes.
- If purchasing online, allow two business days for processing then come to the Recreation office at S108 to pick up the fitness facility access card.
- If purchasing at the Registrar's Office, come to the Recreation office at S108 with your receipt to fill out appropriate forms. Again, please allow two days for processing.
All fitness facility members are required to fill out a yearly Get Active Questionnaire (GAQ) as well as a Release and Waiver of Liability Membership Form. Students under 19 years can purchase a card from the Registrar's Office in the Student Service Building and will require parental or guardian signatures. *The Fitness Facility is not open to OC staff at this point*

*We are closed on weekends and statutory holidays*
NOTE: Open for staff and faculty beginning Tue, Feb. 22. Your digital proof of vaccination will be required along with a government-issued ID.
Outdoor Fitness
Okanagan College has permanent outdoor fitness equipment on the south side of the Health building. Designed for movement, a quick drop in or a break from your day, feel free to use the outdoor training equipment at your leisure. There are also walking paths throughout campus, refer to the map below for locations and distances.
Community Fitness Facilities
In partnership with Global Fitness, Okanagan College is pleased to provide FREE fitness classes for students at this facility between September to April. We also offer free swimming passes to Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence Gymnasium and Fitness Centre
The Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence gymnasium and fitness centre is currently closed for students and staff. When it does reopen, you can purchase your pass at the administration office for $10 and bring your receipt to PC 146 for processing, or drop by if you have any questions.
Flourish with Yoga
This beginner yoga class will help foster your mind and body connection through gentle stretches and relaxation, reducing stress and improving your wellbeing. As part of the Flourish Wellness Project, classes are offered free of charge on a drop-in basis and are open to all OC students and employees.

The Vernon Students Association of Okanagan College offers a variety of events and activities throughout the year, helping you unwind, relax and meet new friends. Get started by dropping by their office in C312, call 250-306-2891 or email ereist@okanagan.bc.ca.
Get active
Making time for physical activity on a regular basis has a number of physical and mental health benefits. The Vernon campus has a Fitness Centre featuring several exercise machines and workout equipment. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Thursday. Stop by Vernon Administration (A Building) for access; cost is a one-time $10 fee for ongoing access via Salto card.
The Greater Vernon Athletics Park adjacent to the campus is operated by the City of Vernon. The synthetic running track is open to walkers and runners from dawn to dusk, and is free to use.
