Fitness Facility

The Fitness Facility offers a bright atmosphere and an excellent assortment of cardio and resistance training equipment.  Cardio users will enjoy the opportunity to look outside while they work out. Beginners to intermediate weight room users will find that the fitness facility will more than adequately fulfill their exercise needs.

Current Okanagan College students can purchase a pass online or from the Registrar's Office in the Student Services Building.  It is a one-time $10 fee for a card and automatically renews each semester you are registered in classes.

  • If purchasing online, allow two business days for processing then come to the Recreation office at S108 to pick up the fitness facility access card.
  • If purchasing at the Registrar's Office, come to the Recreation office at S108 with your receipt to fill out appropriate forms.  Again, please allow two days for processing.

All fitness facility members are required to fill out a yearly Get Active Questionnaire (GAQ) as well as a Release and Waiver of Liability Membership Form.  Students under 19 years can purchase a card from the Registrar's Office in the Student Service Building and will require parental or guardian signatures.  *The Fitness Facility is not open to OC staff at this point*

Fitness Facility Hours

Beginning Monday, October 4

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

*We are closed on weekends and statutory holidays

NOTE: Students may book one 45-minute workout per day on a first-come, first-served basis.  Visit the Athletics, Recreation and Student Life office at S108 for the sign-up sheet.  There will be a maximum of eight students working out at one time.   Washrooms will be open but not change rooms so you will need to arrive at the facility ready to workout.  It is deemed a high-intensity environment so your digital proof of vaccination will be required along with a government-issued ID.

Outdoor Fitness

Okanagan College has permanent outdoor fitness equipment on the south side of the Health building. Designed for movement, a quick drop in or a break from your day, feel free to use the outdoor training equipment at your leisure. There are also walking paths throughout campus, refer to the map below for locations and distances.

Community Fitness Facilities

In partnership with Global Fitness and B-Indoor Cycle and Strength Studios, Okanagan College is pleased to provide FREE fitness classes for students at these facilities between September to April. We also offer free swimming passes to Parkinson Recreation Centre.

Please stop by the Athletics, Recreation and Student Life office with your student ID for more info on how you can access these passes.  You can also email us at KelownaRec@Okanagan.bc.ca.
