Donate a gift-in-kind
Equipment, materials or other supplies
Every year, thousands of dollars in goods, such as cars, lumber and other building materials are donated. These gifts are of great value and eligible for the same kinds of tax benefits and recognition as other gifts to Okanagan College.
A gift-in-kind must be assessed before a charitable receipt can be issued for current fair market value. Initial arrangement for gifts-in-kind are made at the Department level, to ensure the donation is acceptable and will benefit learning.

Set up an award
Make education more affordable
Our team will work with you to identify a faculty or program at Okanagan College that fits your giving interests. You can create a one-time or annual award that will help students offset the cost of their education and support their success.
Awards can be based on academic achievement, financial need, or a combination of the two, along with other specialized criteria.

Make a planned gift
Planned Giving is a way to make clear your intentions and ensure you receive significant tax and estate planning benefits that reflect your personal priorities.
There are no limits and no restrictions when it comes to bequests or other planned gifts – you can give regardless of your current assets or income. This gives you the freedom to support causes you believe in, often in ways you may not be able to accomplish during your lifetime. A win-win for everyone
For only $5 per pay period, you’ll receive one entry in the bi-weekly 50/50 draw.
Choose to deduct more and you will increase the prize pool and your chances of winning.

OC Family Award
Every payday, Okanagan College’s 50/50 Staff Lottery contributes funds to go towards an Okanagan College Family Award. In addition, Okanagan College matches the bi-weekly prize amount to support the award, which is open to an immediate family member of a continuing (regular) Okanagan College employee.
Since 2005, more than $193,000 has been awarded to family members of Okanagan College employees. The award is presented three times annually.
