Although my initial career goal was to work as an academic researcher, various life influences brought me to my first real job as a teacher at the high school level in an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. After eleven years, I moved back to Canada and was fortunate to join the Chemistry Department at Okanagan College in 2005. Now having taught science for over a quarter century, I continue to be curious about and humbled by the art and science of learning and teaching.
