Hwy 97 landslide: update - Sept. 7, 2023
- The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed that they expect the road to reopen for single lane alternating traffic by Sept. 16. We will continue to follow their guidance and direction as the situation evolves or changes.
- OC implemented alternate arrangements and supports this week, and with the Ministry of Transportation announcement yesterday we are not planning further alternate arrangements at this time.
- OC will continue to monitor and assess the situation to assess the impact of potentially long delays for students and employees travelling to and from Penticton, and if necessary individual arrangements will be developed.
We appreciate the challenges the rockslide has created for the OC community and are grateful for the continued collaboration and support across all our campuses.
