Generative artificial intelligence is already transforming teaching, learning and the overall landscape of higher education. The ready availability of tools like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini is creating opportunities to enhance and support learning, but it also presents challenges to academic integrity, equity in learning, and privacy. To ensure that Okanagan College remains on top of these challenges and is ready to take advantage of the opportunities, we are looking for volunteers to join the AI in Education Working Group.

This collaborative group seeks anyone interested in shaping the role of AI within our learning community. We will actively investigate, debate, and design strategies for the optimal use of AI in education at Okanagan College. To join, please email David Williams, dwilliams@okanagan.bc.ca.
Your contributions matter
As a working group member, you will:
- Investigate AI supported Teaching and Learning Innovation
- Build plans to develop AI Literacy across Okanagan College
- Develop strategies to ensure academic honesty in a GenAI world
- Examine concerns about ethical use and equitable access to GenAI tools
