Yvonne Moritz

After 14 years with Okanagan College, Yvonne Moritz, Associate Vice President Educational Services, will retire on April 10, 2024. An e-card is available for anyone who would like to share their appreciation for Yvonne and all that she has accomplished at OC.

"It has been an honor to work at Okanagan College, and I will miss the amazing people I have come to know over the years," said Yvonne. "To be a part of the team in creation of the new Health building, developing new programs and expanding existing programs has been a highlight in my career at OC. I want to thank the College community for the support and kindness that I have received. As I transition to other adventures such as travelling and riding my bike, I wish everyone continued success as part of the OC community."

Yvonne joined the College in 2010 as our Dean of Science, Technology and Health. In 2020, she transitioned to her current role as Associate VP Educational Services, responsible for assisting in supporting the educational mandate of the College, including leadership related to annual programming planning and review, enrolment management, academic policies and regulations and labour management.

"Since I started in December, Yvonne and I have created strategies together, started the two Councils in the Provost and Vice President Academic portfolio, and spent a lot of time teaching (her teaching me!) and learning about the opportunities ahead," said Samantha Lenci, Provost and VP Academic. "I will miss her very much and wish her every happiness on her travels for the next few months."

Yvonne's commitment to excellence and deep understanding of OC's programs and operations will be missed. Please join us in congratulating Yvonne and wishing her all the best in her retirement.
