Call for Research Ethics Board members

The Research Ethics Board (REB) is currently looking for new members to join the committee. The REB Terms of Reference state that the committee requires representation from members of the College community (including students), excluding the senior institutional administrators.

Employees are encouraged to put out a call for volunteers — particularly individuals with research knowledge/experience — from your respective portfolios/regions.

  • An applicant from an Indigenous community.
  • A community representative.
  • An applicant with law knowledge.
  • An applicant from the School of Business.

Purpose

The REB meets to discuss applications for ethical approval relating to research at Okanagan College.

Meetings

The REB meets one Friday per month, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., except in August.

Term

Terms are two years with the possibility of additional terms.
