Avoid spring trips and falls

A message from Health and Safey

With the snow gone and spring bringing new signs of life and growth, it's important to be aware of slip and trip hazards.

Slips, trips and falls are a leading cause of workplace injuries. Beautiful sunny afternoons can make it easy to forget that surfaces can still be icy in the morning or in the shade. Additionally, frost heaves, roots and plant growth can also cause uneven surfaces or sidewalks to lift resulting in tripping hazards.

We encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather, but please keep an eye out for slipping or tripping hazards and report any issues to Facilities Management by submitting a work request.
