How to Apply for High School Entrance Awards

For all High School Entrance Awards Follow Instructions below:

You find your myOkanagan account from our homepage in the top right hand corner of the page or at

myOkanagan link

Login Information

To access your secure myOkanagan account, you require a user name and password. Your user name is your student number which for most students starts with "300" and has nine digits in total.  Your default password is your birthday in the following format: mmddyyyy. For example, if your birthdate is August 17, 1983, your default password is 08171983. When you login for the first time, the system will ask you to choose a new password (please write it down in a secure spot, so you don't forget.)

Apply for Awards 
To apply for awards you must login to your myOkanagan account and navigate to the Financial Aid & Awards channel on the Applicant tab or Student tab and click on Apply Online for Awards.

Complete Application

Once on the application page select the "High School Entrance Awards" Applications. Once the application opens check your personal details are correct and proceed by completing all sections of the application providing as much information as possible. You will also need to make sure that you complete the application declaration and submit your application. Once submitted you can check your application status via the Financial Aid & Awards channel by clicking "Online Awards Applied for".

Additional Documentation

All high school entrance awards require additional documentation to be provided. Please email documentation to, include your full name, student ID number (300-xxx-xxx) and award(s) applied for in the email or by mail attention Financial Aid & Awards Office, Okanagan College, Kelowna Campus, 1000 K.L.O Road, Kelowna, BC V1Y 4X8.

Below is a summary of the additional documentation required.

  • Interim statement of secondary school grades.
  • A written appraisal from your secondary school Principal (or designate).
  • At least one reference letter confirming your school and/or community involvement (If involvement is related to school, confirmation can be part of written appraisal provided by school and does not need to be a separate reference).

Additional documentation must be submitted by the application deadline.
