Graduation ceremony outside at the college

Okanagan College hosted three virtual graduation ceremonies on Saturday, July 10, conferring credentials upon more than 1,500 students and wrapping up the convocation ceremonies until the new year.

Students from Arts and Foundational, Business and Science, Technologies, Health and Social Development programs were applauded for their achievements and dedication in completing their programs. Earlier, the College also celebrated the Trades Commencement (June 17) and the Continuing Studies Ceremony (June 22). Combined with the winter ceremonies hosted in January and the Spring ceremonies in early June, OC has officially completed all of its eight annual ceremonies.

Viewers tuned in to watch the various virtual ceremonies from across the globe. Viewers primarily tuned in from Canada, India and the Philippines as well as Jamaica and the United States. Cumulatively, the videos were viewed 3,150 times.

A virtual guestbook gathered almost 200 messages to graduates. Comments ranged from local supporters to friends and family across Canada and internationally including Hawaii, Florida, Jamaica, Africa, the United Kingdom and more.

The next convocation will welcome the class of 2022 in January with the winter ceremony.
