For the first time, two competitors from Holland entered the Spaghetti Bridge Building contest this year

For the first time, two competitors from Holland entered the contest this year, after winning a similar contest at the Technical University of Delft. Part of their prize was a trip to Kelowna to enter this contest at OUC.

Secondary Competition Results

Students entered pre-built bridges which could support a two-kilogram mass for five minutes.

  1. First Place: Jamie Goodridge, Eagle River Secondary, Sicamous, B.C., Canada
  2. Second Place: Krystal Ploentzke, Eagle River Secondary, Sicamous, B.C., Canada
  3. Third Place: Aaron Culbert, KLO Middle School, Kelowna, B.C., Canada

Post Secondary Competition Results

Students entered pre-built bridges which could support a two-kilogram mass for five minutes.

  1. First Place: Fokke van Gyn, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands
  2. Second Place: Ruben Jongejan, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands

Team Building Competition Results

The object of the contest was to build as light a bridge as possible that would still support a specified weight.
