International Education offers a number of short-term study abroad opportunities for Okanagan College students to experience life in another country for 2-4 weeks.
Applications are now closed for the exciting summer cross-cultural programs in Japan being offered by our partner schools in Tokyo and Okayama. Each program is 2 weeks. These non-credit programs are designed to teach the language and culture of Japan. No Japanese language skills are required.
To be eligible for a summer cross-cultural program in Japan, Okanagan College students must be:
- Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident; AND
- Enrolled in an Okanagan College credentialed program in good academic standing
- Successful submission of the online application by the deadline
All programs include the following fees: Tuition, housing, airport pick-up, field trip & cultural program fees.
All programs do not include: Living expenses, flights, local transportation, meals, text books & medical insurance.
Flight grants: Students selected to participate in the summer programs will be eligible to apply for Okanagan College Global Education Mobility Grant for Domestic Students to assist with flight costs. Learn more about the eligibility criteria for the grant here.
