OC welcomes new Revelstoke Campus Manager

Lisa Cyr

The Revelstoke Centre is pleased to welcome Lisa Cyr as Interim Campus Manager and Community Liaison for Revelstoke. Lisa is well-known for her community-building work in the local social sector, including her work on poverty reduction initiatives, creating social support programs for vulnerable adults, and her advocacy role with the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter Society.

Since moving to Revelstoke seven years ago, Lisa has worked in the tourism industry, the social sector, and education, teaching English and French in both the French school district (SD93) and local school district (SD19).  She also currently carries out Community Engagement and project support for the City of Revelstoke’s Official Community Plan update, a role she believes will strengthen her work with the College.

Lisa holds Master’s degree in Professional Communication specializing in intercultural communication, and has an undergraduate degree in Community Development.

Lisa will be filling this role while Danielle Tighe is away on parental leave. Over the course of the upcoming year, Lisa hopes to build on the great work that has been done bringing innovative and in-demand programs to Revelstoke, and identifying potential upcoming programs for the Revelstoke Centre to offer.

Lisa loves to sing, learn languages, ride mountain bikes and spend time with the people around her.
