Q: What is your education and background?

A: Undergrad in Civil Engineering and Bio Resources, and a Master's in Sustainable Design.

Q: What is your area of interest?

A: Beautiful, healthy and regenerative buildings.

Q: When did you know you had found your discipline?

A: When I discovered the impact that the built environment has on our planet, social fabric, health and wellness.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Okanagan College?

A: It presented an opportunity to develop a program dedicated to influencing the next generation of building practitioners as agents of change in the industry.

Q: What do you like most about the work you do?

A: Seeing our students grow during their time in the program and watching them flourish in the workforce.

Q: Favourite teaching experience?

A: When graduates of the program return and share their experience with current students.

Q: Who gave you the best advice you ever received?

A: A former mentor once told me, “If you can remember that no matter what, you have more in common with people you disagree with than you don’t, you will go far in your professional and personal endeavours.”

Q: What advice do you have for new students?

A: Use your time in the program wisely, be present, be engaged and be open-minded.

Q: If you could go back in time, is there anything you would do differently?

A: I don’t think I would have done anything differently.

Q: Where are you the happiest?

A: When I’m surrounded by friends and family.
