Provincial emergency funding available to support student success

OC students are reminded that emergency funding from the B.C. Government is in place to help you cope with financial pressures caused by COVID-19.

Since March 2020, Okanagan College has received $251,000 in emergency funding from the province to disburse to students, as part of the more than $1.6 million in support from the province that has gone to supporting post-secondary institutions in the Interior ($9 million province-wide).

The non-repayable emergency assistance can be used to help with a broad range of costs, including living expenses, food, travel, portable computers and other supports for students who are returning to campuses for 2021-22.
