Accessibility improvements in Moodle 4.1 - LAR workshop

Implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles proactively ensures that course resources are readily accessible to learners. Moodle 4.1 supports these considerations through a number of improvements, which will be introduced in this session.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define UDL
  •  Discuss common accessibility challenges for learners within learning management systems such as Moodle
  • Examine improved keyboard navigation, colour schemes and support for screen readers.
  • Identify the assistive features found in ReadSpeaker
