Hospitality Professional Program
The Hospitality Professional Program provides a comprehensive training package to prepare participants for a variety of careers in tourism or hospitality.
Jobs in this diverse sector include roles in:
- museums
- resorts
- hotels
- family and aquatic centres
- a variety of other positions
Participants will receive training in the following areas:
- computer software
- marketing and sales
- soft skills
- industry certifications
- human resources
- management
- project management
- accounting
Students take part in 17 weeks of theory and virtual classroom training, followed by 10 weeks of work experience and three weeks of follow-up support to transition to employment. This program is free for eligible participants.
Eligibility
Participants eligible to receive training must:
- Meet the definition of an “EI client," BCEA PWD Client, or a BCEA Non-PWD Client
- Be eligible for WorkBC Case Management and be referred by a WorkBC Case Manager
Dates
- Application deadline: March 21, 2022
- Online course dates: March 28 - July 22, 2022
- Work Experience and Follow Up Support: July 25 - Oct 7, 2022
