Experience Works

Would you benefit from updating your skills to meet the demands of today’s workplace? Due to current economic changes, do you need to enter or reenter the workforce? This TUITION FREE training program is designed to upgrade the employability skills of unemployed workers 55+ years of age to adapt to the local changing job market. Students take part in seven weeks of theory and virtual classroom training, followed by five weeks of work experience. 

Participants will be provided with financial supports, supported in accessing a paid work experience and will receive computer training and employability workshops.

To be eligible for this FREE training program, applicants must be:

• Unemployed, precariously employed or low-income
• 55+ years of age
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• A resident of British Columbia

Online Course Dates:
April 11 – May 27, 2022

Work Experience
May 30 – June 30, 2022
