Okanagan College has officially opened the new $2.2-million welding facility at the Penticton campus. This 5,000 square foot building will provide students and apprentices with the highest quality learning environment and equipment so they can gain the skills needed to meet industry demand.

Program Details:
  28 weeks
Day Intake,
Monday - Friday  7:30 am - 2:30 pm

Evening Intake,
Tuesday - Friday (Evening Shift)
Tues-Thurs 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Friday 12:00 pm - 7:30 pm 

Outcomes:  Graduates from this program will receive an Industry Training Authority Certificate of Completion, technical training credit for Welder Level 1 and Level 2 and 300 work-based hours once registered as a Welder apprentice.

Career Opportunities:
  Welders often work in manufacturing, fabrication, steel construction and repair within oil, gas, mining, forestry, construction industries and shipyards.
