Professional Cook Apprenticeship

A cook is a person who performs all phases of kitchen activities including the preparation and presentation of vegetables, soups, sauces, meat, fish and poultry, cold kitchen items; desserts, baking, pastry; basic menu planning/costing as well as knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food storage, and who has a knowledge of human and customer relations.


Successful completion of Level 3 grants the apprentice with the Certificate of Qualification as a Red Seal Cook. 

Achieving your Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) will provide you with a set of nationally recognized and transferable skills that will provide you with an opportunity for employment across Canada.
