Domestic/Commerical Gasfitter Apprenticeship


"Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter" means a person who may install, test, maintain, manufacture, assemble, construct, operate, alter and repairs propane/natural gas regulated products, such as: supply lines, appliances, equipment and accessories for use in residential and commercial premises

In this 2 year apprenticeship, the apprentice works in industry and attends school each year.  Level 1 Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter Apprentices will attend Level 1 Plumbing and Level 2 Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter Apprentices will attend the first 5 weeks of Level 4 Plumbing.

Admission Requirements 

  • You must be a registered apprentice within BC
  •  Persons wishing to become apprentices must be employed with a business that employs a qualified journeyperson plumber.

  • Drainage and Venting Systems

Employment Opportunities

Successful completion grants the apprentice with the Certificate of  Apprenticeship as a Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter
