Trades & Apprenticeship
1:45 p.m. Friday, May 22
I am pleased to share that we will be continuing to offer trades training this summer. Although much of our trades training will be delivered online, we will be open for limited on-campus instruction to address practical training requirements. Students will receive their detailed schedules shortly and each trade program is preparing for their specific health and safety requirements. Students will be divided into smaller groups while on campus, where required, and physical distancing and other safety measures will be in place and communicated to students, including enhanced cleaning of tools, equipment and common spaces. Okanagan College will follow direction and controls specified by the BC Centre for Disease Control, the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Health Officer and Interior Health.
Thank you for your patience as we continue with our planning and we look forward to working with our students and instructors to maintain a safe training environment.
