Svan had over 20 years of industry experience working with large multi-national corporations in sales, consulting, development and support when she discovered the Okanagan. She was looking for a change in lifestyle, and moved to Canada from Europe in 2012. She initially worked at both Kelowna higher education institutions but is now fully dedicated to teaching and research at the Okanagan College, School of Business. Svan brings her knowledge from industry and local research into the classroom, providing many examples from big and small business environments. If not in the classroom or in the field (doing research), you will find her mountain biking or hiking in the summer, snowboarding in the winter or just having fun with her family all year around. Svan loves the outdoors and will happily talk to you about new trails to explore in the Okanagan – which is ‘the best place to live in the world’ (her words).
