Alan Rice

Alan Rice has been a professor at Okanagan College’s School of Business since 2008 where he teaches in the marketing specialty area as well as in the tourism and hospitality management specialty. 

Alan is also the owner and principal of Kettle Valley Research, a successful marketing research consultancy. Since its establishment in 2003, Kettle Valley Research has worked with clients in the tourism industry, economic development, as well as several advertising agencies and private firms.

Alan has over twenty years of industry research experience.  He completed his Bachelors of Administration with honours in marketing, specializing in marketing research, at Brock University in 1991. His master’s degree is in Tourism Planning and Development from the California University of Pennsylvania, 2010.  Alan has continued his professional development in market research by attending several advanced research courses and workshops with the American Marketing Association in Chicago, TTRA Conferences, and others.
