Convocation and Commencement

June Convocations are being postponed

Okanagan College has decided to postpone its planned June convocation ceremonies until later in the year, when it will be possible to hold these important celebrations in an in-person format. The decision was informed in part by perspectives gained from a survey of students who had registered to graduate and attend ceremonies. The majority of respondents were clear that their first choice was to postpone the ceremonies, many citing the wish to celebrate in person with classmates, family and friends. More information will be provided as the situation regarding large gatherings and COVID-19 becomes clearer.

2020 Convocation
If you are intending to apply to graduate in Spring 2020, we have extended the deadline to April 14,2020. We are reviewing several options with regard to our convocations, which would normally begin in early June. The outcome of those deliberations, of course, are in part contingent on the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will advise you as soon as possible of the plans with regards to these very important events for our graduates. Even if the graduation ceremonies are postponed, your credential will be awarded and noted on your transcript as per usual timelines.

Celebrate your graduation from Okanagan College and join in the Convocation and Commencement festivities.

Please check back as dates and details about each ceremony will be added as we get closer to the events.

For students in programs other than those in Continuing Studies and Trades, in order to be considered for graduation, you will need to submit an application for graduation, whether or not you plan to attend the convocation ceremony
There is a $30 fee to attend a ceremony. This fee covers regalia rental, a souvenir grad cap and an Okanagan College parchment folder.
