What did you enjoy the most about your program?
I enjoyed how much hands on experience we get to have in the labs as well as the individual attention the professors are able to provide due to the small class sizes.
How would you describe your experience at Okanagan College?
My experience while attending OC has been excellent. It’s nice that I was able to begin my post-secondary education so close to home and the small class sizes really allow for a sense of community within your program and the entire campus.
What are your future plans?
I plan on attending UBCO in order to complete my degree with a major in chemistry and go on to pursue a career in forensic science.
Alli Macdonald I Associate of Science Degree | Former upgrading student
I have always had a love for math and science and wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Science. Having moved to B.C. late in high school, I didn’t have the opportunity to take chemistry and realized I couldn’t complete many of the required first-year post-secondary classes without it. Luckily, I was able to attain my Grade 11 and 12 requirements through upgrading at OC while also taking some of my first-year courses in sciences towards my degree.
