Golden Day of Service

Golden Day of Service

On Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 Okanagan College is organizing a Golden Day of Service as part of the celebration of its 50th anniversary. During the course of the day as many students, staff and alumni who are willing and able will engage in a variety of volunteer initiatives in our communities. The goal is to build on our record of transforming lives and communities and to acknowledge the support that Okanagan College has received during its five decades of history in the region.

The College is reaching out to community organizations that are in need of volunteers or who have projects that can be completed that day. If you or your organization could use assistance from Okanagan College volunteers on Friday, Feb. 14 during regular working hours (approximately 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) please follow the link below and fill out an online project proposal. Once you submit your project proposal, it will be reviewed and posted and volunteers will have an opportunity to respond directly to you.

Volunteer Project Proposal Form

The online self-serve project/organization registration form has been developed to make it easy for organizations or individuals to submit requests for volunteers for activities or projects in our communities. Staff and students can view these opportunities and, after receiving approval from their supervisor, register to take part.
