Okanagan College Family Gives

When Okanagan College employees, members of the executive, and members of the Foundation's Board of Directors and the College's Board of Governors and others connected to Okanagan College choose to give, it speaks volumes.

This is because these individuals often have unique insight into precisely what's needed based on their close relationship to the College.

At Okanagan College, the Foundation recognizes the value of "family" contribution, and so the Bright Horizons: Bright Futures campaign is a fundraising initiative that enables everyone to come together with all our diversity of interests.

The campaign provides opportunities for our internal community to fund initiatives with a personal touch - or even create something as a group. Either way, members of the Okanagan College family are helping to create a brighter environment for all.

The campaign is open-ended, so individuals can choose for themselves the most meaningful way of contributing to help take Okanagan College into 2020. Simply contact a member of the Foundation team for more details.

Both Nolan and Ron have elected to have their donations support the Okanagan College NTEN Department Award. As Ron explains, it feels good knowing that each month, they can give towards students’ futures. Read more in our blog.

Payroll Deduction or One Time Donation

Okanagan College provides a simple way for employees to make a charitable gift to the College and the future of its students. Employees can make a lump sum donation, or choose to break down their contribution into bi-weekly payments through payroll deduction.

Funds can be designated for a variety of purposes, including the Bright Horizons: Building for Skills Campaign and the Annual Campaign Fund - used by Deans and program chairs to support their most pressing initiatives - and could include support for new programs, purchase of books, technology or equipment.

You can complete the Online Payroll Deduction Form or download the Payroll Deduction Form (link will open in a new window) and submit the completed form to the Foundation office. Donations made in this manner will receive a charitable tax receipt.

50/50 Staff Lottery
Many of our employees take part in the Staff Lottery, which is held every two weeks, with winners typically receiving more than $500 - all while contributing to a great cause - helping students in financial crisis.
