OC students arrive in Indonesia for one-week exchange

As part of OC's Study Abroad Exchange program, ten Okanagan College students recently arrived in Indonesia for a one-week exchange. Students are from all campuses, except Revelstoke, and represent various programs. They will learn about SDGs and local initiatives at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. 

All Canadian students received either an Okanagan College mobility grant or scholarships from the Government of Canada.

Students interested in participating in an upcoming exchange are encouraged to learn more and submit an application by Feb. 28, 2024.

Upcoming Study Abroad Exchanges

Short term summer exchange

  • Countries: Japan and Korea  
  • Length: 2-5 weeks
  • Types
    • Cultural (noncredit): students get free meals, accommodation and excursion to Hiroshima or Kyoto.
    • Academic (credit options): Students are responsible for the cost to transfer credits earned during these programs. For instance, the Dankook University in Korea summer program entails 45 hours of class time over one month.
  • Housing: Most programs offer complimentary housing.
  • Program fee: Free for nominated students, except for credit transfer tuition.

 

Semester-long exchange

  • Offered at four unique universities in Japan
