Okanagan College - Penno Road LocationWelcome to Okanagan College’s Penno Road trades training centre! In April 2006 Okanagan College opened the doors to a brand new 15,000 sq.ft. Trades Training Centre. Located in North Kelowna (just off Highway 97, one block from Sexsmith Road), this new facility is home to the College’s Electrical, Sheet Metal programs. The need to train additional trades workers is critical to the success and support of the economic development of the Central Okanagan region. Okanagan College has taken the lead in our community and has significantly expanded our existing trades programs while introducing new programs to meet the need in the region. Today we are the second largest trades training centre in the province. This growth has meant the need for additional trades facilities to deliver the training required in the region. The College is offering both pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training in a number of trades and we are excited to be able to help industry in our region meet their employment needs with the introduction and delivery of three key trades training programs at this new location.The Penno Road location trains over 500 trades workers and apprentices each year. |
