Lee Cartier, M.Sc., P.Ag.
Lee Cartier holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Windsor, has completed the Chartered Business Valuator's Program of studies through the University of Toronto, and holds a Certificate in Successful Marketing and Financing Intellectual Property from the University of British Columbia. His areas of specialty are in strategic planning, new product development, corporate finance, business valuation, and asset management. Lee is a Professional Agrologist (economics & business management) and is a member of the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists.
Lee has more than 35 years experience in business, consulting, and education. His consulting clients include small business, industry, and government. Lee is a recognized expert in both the B.C. Grape and Wine industry, and the Tree Fruit industry. Projects of specific interest to the wine industry include the lead authorship of a six book series “Strategic Planning for a Winery Business”, prepared for and marketed by the B.C. Wine Institute. He has developed the DecisionCrafter™ family of strategic planning software products. These strategy modeling systems are designed to assist senior management in decision making and problem solving.
Lee is a professor in the Okanagan School of Business at Okanagan College. He currently teaches in the areas of Strategic Management, New Product Development and Government Policy. His research interests are in rural entrepreneurship and the economics of industry development.
