Upcoming Trades programs at the Salmon Arm Trades Centre campus

Maybe you've heard that the economy is due for an upswing, and because of that and the projected numbers of Tradespeople due to retire in the next decade, the construction industry is going to need qualified workers.

Did you know that you can complete 4 "Pre-Apprentice" Trades programs in Salmon Arm?  And if you're on the Carpentry/Joinery Apprentice path, you can complete Levels I - IV here as well.  No need to travel to Kelowna.

The Electrician Pre-Apprentice program runs for 24 weeks.  The Plumbing Pre-Apprentice program  runs for 21 weeks.  Welding Level C runs for 24 weeks. These programs rotate through our region on an 18-month schedule. Residential Construction program starts every February and runs for 26 weeks.

All of these programs take place at the Salmon Arm Trades Centre in the Industrial Park.  No prior experience in the Trade is required for these Pre-Apprentice programs.

Want more information?  Would you like to tour the Trades facility?  Meet students and instructors and learn more about these and other programs?  Please contact Leslie at LBogula@okanagan.bc.ca or 250-832-2126 local 8259.
