What is a Foundation Program?
A Trades foundation program is a pre-apprenticeship or entry level training program that provides a student with no previous experience the basic knowledge and skills they need for entry into a particular trade. Our programs range from only 21 - 72 weeks in duration and as a program grad, you will be more attractive to an employer because you already have the basic skills needed to be productive on their job site.
In most cases upon successful completion and after securing employment as an apprentice you will receive credit for your first level of apprenticeship technical training. You may also be eligible for some work based hours towards your apprenticeship.

We also offer a selection of trades foundation programs at other campus locations: Salmon Arm, Vernon, Revelstoke and Penticton.
