Prior to attending the apprenticeship program at OUC, I worked in landscaping, odd jobs, and 2 years in body shops. As a result, I became indentured as an apprentice and attended 4 week courses. The apprenticeship takes 4 years to complete and I wrote and received my journeyperson ticket.
I am presently employed in Oliver as an Auto Body Technician.

Prior to attending the entry level Collision Painting and Refinishing program at OUC, I was a veterinarian student.
I became interested in painting and refinishing automobiles and enrolled in the entry level Collision Painting and Refinishing program at OUC. After completing the program, I became indentured as an apprentice and during that time competed in both the Provincial and National Skills Canada competitions, winning a gold medal.
I now have my journeyperson ticket as a painting technician and am employed at Kelowna Performance Collision Centre.

I worked at a variety of summer type jobs before enrolling in the entry level Collision Repair and Refinishing program at OUC.
I believe that the entry level program has provided me with the opportunity to become indentured as an apprentice and complete my apprenticeship. I became a journeyperson painter in 1990 and am currently employed at Boyd Autobody.
