Randy's educational qualifications include a Provincial Instructor Diploma, a Technical Support for Business Certificate, a Software System Support Certificate, an Internet Proficiency Certificate, a Carpentry Canadian Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate, and a Provincial Residential Steep Roofer Certificate.
Prior to becoming the Associate Dean, Randy worked as a Program Coordinator and taught in the Provincial Carpentry Apprenticeship and Entry Level Training Carpentry/Joinery programs in the Construction Trades Department at OC. Prior to joining OC, Randy owned and operated a residential construction company, and a steep roofing company where he attained the level of Certified Residential Builder and "A" level with the New Home Warranty Program of BC. Nancy Ankerstein, ID, CPP

Nancy Ankerstein, comes to Okanagan College with an extensive background in Administration working for organizations such as the University of Alberta, Province of BC and Kootenay Lake District Hospital. The last 15 years prior to starting at OC Nancy worked in the Employment field where she instructed and coordinated various job seeking programs one of which was in the area of retail/hospitality for youth. She received her Provincial Instructor’s Diploma in 1995 and obtained her designation as a Certified Program Planner in 2008. Nancy also has extensive experience as the office Manager for a federally funded initiative that provided unemployed individuals with financial grants towards education and training that would lead them to sustainable employment.Nancy has been with the Okanagan College, Trades and Apprenticeship, since December 2005. During this time, she was instrumental in designing and administrating such programs as the Gateway to the Building Trades for Women, Aboriginal Gateway to the Building Trades, Residential Construction and the 6 month Saudi Arabia instructor training program with Canadian Bureau for International Education. Rob Kjarsgaard

Robs educational qualifications include a Masters Degree in Distributed Learning, Provincial Instructor Diploma, Carpentry Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate, Internal Auditor Certification for ISO 9001 International Standards Association, Certified Instructor for Forklift, TDG and WHMIS. Since beginning work for OC in 2001 Rob was involved in the concurrent administration of five employment centres in Vernon, Enderby, Armstrong, Lumby and Falkland. Currently as a Program Administrator for the Trades and Apprenticeship, Rob brings his expertise to the development and administration of new trades training programs and facilities in Vernon, Salmon Arm and Revelstoke. Rob is also a published author of a book on program development titled “Rapid Prototyping in Action”.Prior to working for OC Rob served as a school trustee for School District 83 and was a strong proponent of including more access to vocational training for youth. Rob also served for four years in the development and implementation of an international award winning construction employment program for “youth at risk”. Nancy Darling

With 7 years University completed and 10 years experience in program design and development, Nancy brings a wealth of experience to Okanagan College. A seasoned local entrepreneur, Nancy has taught business and entrepreneurship privately to individuals and groups for the past 7 years in the BC Interior. Nancy has worked exclusively in the field of adult education for 12 years. In 2006 Nancy made the shift from private to public post-secondary education and joined Okanagan College as the Programs Administrator for Trades and Apprenticeship. Nancy currently works in the South Okanagan Similkameen region. |

Michelle Sinclair has been employed at Okanagan College since 2001 and joined the Trades & Apprenticeship office in 2009. Michelle manages the delivery of support services for the Trades & Apprenticeship Program and supervises the Support staff. Tracy Harrison has been employed at Okanagan College since 1996 and joined the Apprenticeship office in 2004. Tracy is responsible to coordinate and implement the daily administrative processes regarding Apprenticeship registration, waitlists and payments. Customer service is a priority for Tracy and our apprentice students know first hand how true this is. |

Dianne started with OC in April of 2004 and joined the Trades & Apprenticeship Team in 2006. Dianne coordinates and promotes Trades Events, maintains the Trades website and provides administrative, marketing and secretarial support to the department along with the Trades Program Advisory Committees.
She has a background in Telecommunications, Customer Service, Office Administration, Computer Technologies and Training. |

Renee completed the Applied Business Technology program at OC in June of 2007 and started working at OC in July of the same year. Renee joined the Trades & Apprenticeship office in 2008 and is responsible for student registrations and testing, assisting instructors with materials and providing administrative support to the department. |
