Educational Pre-requisites for Apprenticeship

In order to be successful in the technical training portion of your apprenticeship we recommend that you have the necessary secondary school education. Although a Grade 12 education is preferred for all trades, the minimum standard for each trade is specified below.

* This self-assessment exam will assist you in determining if you have the necessary prerequisites in both Math and Physics.  In preparation for your level 1 technical training we ask that you complete this exam and assess if you require upgrading prior to attending your technical training. We have included the answer key, so that you can conduct an honest assessment of your skills in this regard. If you are unable to achieve a 70% on this test, then we recommend that you take some form of upgrading in preparation for your technical training.
