The Therapist Assistant Program prepared me for a rewarding career in health care. Throughout the two years in the program the classroom work, lab work and placements all were great learning tools filled with opportunities to grow and learn. One of my favorite parts of the program were the placements and the site visits, these were always the best learning experiences and I always took so much out of them.

"The overall experience of taking this program has changed my life in so many positive ways. I have a great job that I enjoy going to everyday, and feeling like I make a difference in peoples lives really means alot to me. I feel that the TA program really prepared me to work in the field that I am in and helped me feel confident and ready tackle any situation."

Just wanted to let you know that I'm having a blast here at Aberdeen Hospital. The staff is great and the residents are terrific, too. I wanted to give you some feedback on the program. The staff are surprised at the stuff that we have done as well as the stuff that we have to do in the up coming year...I wanted to share this with you because after hearing this, I am very proud to be apart of the OC Therapist Assistant Diploma program! :)

"The Therapist Assistant Diploma has allowed me to step forward in my career and work towards making people healthy and happy by using the skills I have learned in the program. This is a program I recommend to anyone either as a career or as a stepping stone towards your next goal. I plan to further my education and become an Occupational Therapist, this course is what gave me the confidence to do that"

Alanna, TAD Graduate 2009

The Therapist Assistant Diploma Program has been a rewarding and worthwhile experience! This profession is so broad – it encompasses every age, and nearly every condition and disability. Three disciplines, numerous settings, and clients of all ages and conditions make for an endless spectrum of opportunity. Going to work every day is making a positive impact in somebody’s life. The contact and connection with clients is what I love about this career. It is a real way to help people enjoy life to the fullest.

"… so far I am still with the child development centre and I have had many job offers this summer. Either way, I am super happy that I went into the program and for the first time ever I can say that I LOVE what I do...."
