Health & Social Development
The Okanagan region has been called Canada's forerunner in terms of population demographics and issues facing healthcare and social well-being. The new Okanagan College has developed nationally recognized and accredited programs that prepare professionals to meet health care needs from birth to old age.
Grads from our practically-oriented programs can pursue careers in health and social development settings including hospital and community nursing, support workers for the elderly and disabled, providing health and social services through non-profit societies, working with children, and much more.
