I joined Okanagan College in September of 2003 after working in Saskatchewan and the Okanagan Similkameen School District. While working at Okanagan College I obtained a Master’s of Education through the University of British Columbia. The emphasis of my Master’s project was on ABE student success. I taught College Studies 101 in an effort to help students prepare for college success.
I have represented the college as a community volunteer flagger at Campus to Campus and Multiple Sclerosis runs. I was also a Sparks leader with the Girl Guides.
I have sat on a number of college committees including professional development and science articulation, and am presently sitting on the assessment committee and guiding the science committee through the re-articulation of both Chemistry and Biology courses. I recently took over the organization of the AACP spring BBQ and Christmas lunch at Kelowna campus and look forward to the planning of those activities in the future.
