I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. I continued my post secondary education doing research with fungi completing an M.Sc. in Botany at the University of Toronto.

I have taught for several years in Alberta and B.C. and currently instruct in math and the sciences, from fundamental to provincial level, at the Kalamalka campus in Vernon. I like to employ a variety of methods of instruction in the classroom including lecture, demonstration, laboratory, group work, and tutorial with a strong emphasis on critical and applied thinking.

My extracurricular interests include dance, music, hiking, and mountain-biking.
