Diane Henderson

I am currently teaching Biology 011 and Biology 012. I have a “hands on” style, as much as practical. I spend the first few weeks of the course developing a team atmosphere in the classroom. I like an environment where everyone feels comfortable to participate. These traits arise from my background in outdoor and experiential education and work as a demonstrator at the Ontario Science Centre. I also taught in Kuujjuaraapik, Quebec, Canmore, Alberta and Lytton, B.C. I like to write. I have published a couple of articles about my experiences teaching in the arctic as well numerous submissions about the Pikes Swim Club.
