  Duties: Perform technical work in the field and office for the water quality monitoring program, and investigation of water quality complaints. Driving throughout the City to undertake a daily drinking water sampling routine, collecting field samples and conducting field tests. Performing a variety of tasks in the office, including updating the water quality database, performing water quality data analysis and other office and field duties as assigned.

Seasonal Quality Control Technician

  Description: Seasonal Quality Control Technician in a spring water bottling facility located in the beautiful Selkirk Mountains, for the summer high production period.

Duties: Conduct water quality and microbiological testing of source water and finished product, monitor quality at various control points on the bottling line, conduct routine inspections of raw materials, and help with line sanitation.


Utility Worker I

Starting wage: $23.32/hr

 

Duties:
• Assists operations and maintenance staff in performing tasks such as minor construction, building forms, mixing concrete, grounds maintenance, brush cutting, channel clearing, etc.
• Operates ancillary equipment such as trucks, small tractors, lawnmowers, brush saws, weed eaters.
• Operates compressors, pneumatic tools, electrical power tools, chain saws,
• Performs site preparation and painting work.
• Works in confined spaces and conducts safety monitor duties as required.
• Assists in leak and/or other emergency repairs.
• Obtains tools and parts from warehouses.
• Pickup and delivery from suppliers.
• Works in compliance with all District safety policies, procedures and WCB regulations.

Note: This position progresses to Utility Worker II after 5 years experience in this classification OR 3 years experience and completion of Sacramento State Water Supply, Water Treatment, Wastewater Collection OR Wastewater Treatment Level 1 and 2 courses, OR an equivalent level of training.


Wastewater Treatment Facility Worker

  Duties: Conducts sampling and laboratory testing of landfill leachate with regard to impact on Biological Nutrient Removal Process operation at WTF. Data input and retrieval and report generating is required.

Provide technical support in an office, field and/or water treatment plant environment for a variety of water resource development and/or water supply projects or initiatives which may involve performing routine mathematical calculations, assisting in the operation, maintenance and repair of related equipment, performing routine mathematical calculations, assisting in the preparation of technical reports and drawings and performing related manual labour tasks.


WWTP - Operator Level 1

  Trainee to assist with day to day operations of a Level IV Wastewater Treatment Plant. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Building maintenance
• Housekeeping and grounds maintenance,
