Mechanical Engineering and Quality Control |

Local Steel Fabrication Company involved in the fabrication, testing and certification of pressure vessels, piping, and process equipment for domestic and world-wide markets.
Engineering Department Duties: Interpretation and implementation of codes, standards and customer specifications. Pressure vessel design with our design software. AutoCAD drafting of pressure vessels, piping, structural & miscellaneous steel products. Communication with the customer. Developing new ideas and methods to enhance department's capabilities.
Quality Control Department Duties: Maintenance of project records including weld maps, heat number records, material test reports, NDE records.
Must work towards Engineering Technologist designation. Computer literate in Windows, Word, Excel, AutoCAD. Must be interested in further training such as weld inspection, NDT testing. Must be able to set priorities and work unsupervised. Work well under pressure. Ability to work well with all other departments. |

Description: To draft and design mechanical equipment and components. • Gather product specifications and translate these to designs that can be used by manufacturing for product development • Prepare circuit diagrams, schematics, parts breakdowns and documents required by manufacturing • Review technical data, measurements and specifications available in catalogs, brochures and spreadsheets, and translate this information into appropriate drawings for moderately complex equipment • Work with a mentor or more senior Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Designer for more complex projects and designs
Two-year Engineering Technology diploma, and a minimum of one year experience with mechanical drafting and/or design. Experience using AutoCAD. Experience using Solidworks or similar parametric solidmodeling software is an asset. Sawmill industry expertise is an asset. Strong written communication skills is required. |

Operator/Manager

Duties: Responsible to the RCEC President and Board of Directors, the Operator/Manager is responsible for all operations and overall Supervision/Management of the Community Energy System. The new 1.5 MW biomass boiler with a 1.75 MW propane backup boiler will consume ~6600 tonnes of hogged wood residue annually. The boiler will provide energy via a hot oil loop to generate low-pressure steam to meet the heating requirements of sawmill's dry kilns. The boiler will also produce hot water to be piped in a District Heating System to meet the heating and DHW requirements of several public and private buildings in the City core. |

Project Leader

Description: Project Leader for Prevost H3 coach mechanical systems, which includes designing various mechanical systems and parts for use in the coach industry, including R & D, manufacturing support, product testing, product installation, and customer support/training.
Duties: • Mechanical system and part design in a 3D modeling environment • Conduct/oversee testing and procedures for various products • Provide support for manufacturing • Provide support for installation • Conduct quality control checks, leak tests • Provide engineering support for customers • Provide customer training
