Volunteer Opportunities

International Education supports our students by introducing volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community. Volunteer experiences help our students to meet with new friends and improve their social skills.

Okanagan College international students previously volunteered for City of Kelowna, Parkinson Recreation Centre, Bank of Montreal, Kelowna Community Resources, Kelowna Museum and many other organizations. Okanagan College International Education received a great amount of positive feedback and appreciations from the community for our enthusiastic hardworking student volunteers.

Through various voluntary efforts over the years International Education volunteers headed by Masami received the prestigious “Spirit of Kelowna Award” for the recent Hope for Japan initiative. This award was bestowed upon the International education team by the Mayor of Kelowna. (Add link and images)

In addition to the Japan relief efforts International education undertook the help us help Haiti campaign, the china earthquake appeal among others. The spirited team of international students are always willing to assist so join the fun, get involved, make new friends while building your resume. You may be pleasantly surprised with a “D.R.A.W” ( Dependable Reliable and Always Willing) award at your international graduation reception!
