Stories of OC - the 50th Anniversary

50thjpg

In September, 1963, the doors opened to the new BC Vocational School. That marked the beginning of a 50-year span of continuously educating and training students. The school grew, merged with Okanagan College, later became Okanagan University College, and now is Okanagan College again. Along the way, there have been tens of thousands of people who have attended classes, had fun, benefitted, and graduated from the institutions.

Beginning in September 2013, Okanagan College will celebrate those five decades of history and service. Part of that is in the telling and retelling of the stories and anecdotes that go along with an institution such as ours, whether the employees' tales or the student recollections. We invite you to submit your stories and photos and we will find ways to use them to help mark the occasion. Write more than once, pass on your photos, and join us to make 50 a special birthday for an institution that has done much to transform lives and communities.
