The Program
Computer Information systems is a diploma program which includes a wide variety of computer courses so that graduates can function successfully as full members of a business organization, high technology industry or government department. Courses in accounting practices, telecommunications, digital logic, mathematics, and management practices are also included. This program ladders into the four-year applied degree.

Employment Focus
The program is designed to prepare graduates for entry into the business and industrial community as junior computer programmers, programme analysts, junior system designers and small business systems specialists. If a graduate prefers to work in the management of computer facilities, this program will provide training on how computers work and operate.
Co-operative Education Work Experience
Students who satisfy the eligibility criteria will have an opportunity to gain valuable work experience by participating in paid co-op work terms. Such experience increases students’ employment opportunities and their value to their employers upon graduation.
Suggested Work Terms
- May - August (One 4-month work term)
- January - April, May - August, September - December (Three 4-month back to back work terms)
