The Program
This is a four-year applied degree program emphasizing software development, database management, and networking skills. The Bachelor of Computer Information Systems (BCIS) reinforces and extends the computing skills developed in the Computer Information Systems diploma program.

Employment Focus
This unique program includes a wide variety of computer courses so that graduates can function successfully as full members of a business organization, high technology industry or government agency.
It provides graduates with the knowledge and skills to seek employment in computing, including junior computer programmer, programmer analyst, junior system designer, small business systems specialist, web page designer, network administrator, and database designer and administrator.

Co-operative Education Work Experience
Students who satisfy the eligibility criteria will have an opportunity to gain valuable work experience by participating in paid co-op work terms. Such experience increases students’ employment opportunities and their value to their employers upon graduation.
Suggested Work Terms
- May - August (One 4 month work term)
- January - April, September - December (Work terms during these periods can be accommodated upon request)
