Campus Health Residence Wellness Assistant

Campus Health Resident Wellness Assistant Position (Recruitment Begins Sept. 2009)
This is an employed student position funded through Okanagan College Student Employment. Student's may work up to 15 hours per week. resident assistant

Primary Responsiblities:

Assist Campus Health and Wellness in planning and implementing events, setting up displays and conducting activities on campus
Be familiar with campus resources and services
Refer students to the appropriate resource when your skills and/or knowledge do not meet the needs of inquiry
Conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner
Support the efforts of student volunteers
Elicit and submit ongoing feedback for the development of student life

Qualifications:

Current OC student
Currently living in Skaha Residence
Good computer skills with knowledge in developing posters and presentation materials
Website management helpful
Proficient in English reading and writing skills
Interest in health/social issues and recreation management/activities
Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
Good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Commitment:

Flexible hours with commitment of 2 - 4 hours per week usually in the evenings.
